CAROLINAS DISTRICT MISSION GRANT FORM
How to Apply:
We are excited that you are mission-minded and would like
to be able to consider your project for a Mission Grant. Your request is most likely to be considered if you keep the following in mind:

1. It should be something to bring The Good News of Jesus Christ to people not already Christians. WE ARE ENCOURAGING OUTREACH!

2. Please put it in the form of a resolution. You can use this statement as an example for your format:
Whereas there are many people in our community that are unchurched, and
Whereas our members are beginning many small group bible studies among their neighbors;
Therefore be it resolved that a grant for $3,000 be awarded for the purpose of purchasing materials for bible study or any project in our new small groups ministry.

3. The amount should be for no more than $5,000.00

4. The choosing of mission grants and their priority will be made at the Sept. 2012 Lutheran Women’s Missionary League Carolinas District Convention. The money will be available between the dates of Nov. 2012- Sept. 2014 depending on the mite contributions.

5. The money must be requested when you are ready for it and we need a complete contact information for the person that is responsible for your project.

6. Photographic material of your project will be needed to promote your Mission Grant Proposal.
Photographic material MUST be submitted in electronic format.

The deadline for applying for a Mission Grant is Feb. 1, 2012.

No Grant Proposals will be accepted before November 1, 2011.

Mission of the Quarter Application

MISSION OF THE QUARTER OFFERINGS are collected from societies and individuals from within the Carolinas District.
Requests for these offerings are made by application, submitted to the MOQ Committee. The chosen MOQ is approved by the
Carolinas LWML Board of Directors. Monies are to be used to further spread the Gospel within the Carolinas.

Camp Linn Haven

Would you like to send a trainable mentally handicapped person to camp? The requirements are also listed on the form.

CAMPERSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR TMH WEEK AND YOUTH AGES 8 -14

The LWML provides 1 campership for a trainable mentally handicapped person to attend TMH week as well as 5 camperships for underprivileged youth to attend teen and preteen weeks at Camp Linn Haven.

The Margaret Robinson TMH Campership was established in 2003 to honor Margaret, a long time director of the TMH week. She was committed to seeing that the campers had an enjoyable experience and received inspiration both mentally and physically to the best of their abilities. Her love of our mentally handicapped brothers and sisters in Christ shone brightly in service to those that attended TMH week at Camp Linn Haven.

For many years as many as five camperships have been offered for underprivileged youth who wish to attend camp during a teen or preteen week. This camping experience gives a youth an opportunity to grow in Christ in a Christian environment and to enjoy fellowship with others.
