Fred is a gardner, has landscaped the back yard with dwarf trees and prennials, several raised beds are used for vegetables, Tomatoes, squash, pumpkins, beans, peas, pepers and for growing prennials for later planting in the yard and at he Fairgrounds. He also has a small greenhouse and a woodworking shop in the back yard. He grows all of the flowers for the landscaping at the Plumas Sierra County Fair each year, starting seed in February and planting out in May. He is also building a model railroad (HO scale) following the Western Pacific route in the Feather River Canyon to the Portola yard. He also makes and paints wood angels, bunnies, santas and other christmas items to sell at local craft fairs in the area. |
