Ruby was united in marriage to Ray Otter on September 1, 1951 at Mount Calvary in Miltona. After their marriage the couple moved to St. Paul where they resided until the early 1980s when they moved back to the Carlos/Alexandria area. Ray died in 1992.

Mrs. Otter enjoyed playing the piano, bingo, taking clippings out of the newspaper and puzzles.

Ruby died on Tuesday, August 29, 2000 at the Douglas County Hospital. She is survived by three brothers: Alfred and wife Grace Wunderlich of Virginia, Clifford and wife, Darloween Wunderlich of Carlos, Kenneth and wife Gladys Wunderlich of Carlos; one sister, Pearl Rising of Villard; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law Iona Wunderlich of St. Paul.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ray; parents; and two brothers, Marvin and Elroy.

Funeral services were held on Friday, September 1, 2000, 2 p.m. at Petermeier’s Alexandria Funeral Care Chapel with Reverend Daniel Christ officiating.

Pallbearers were Maynard Rising, Byrne Rising, Jeff Wunderlich, Leon Wunderlich, David Wunderlich and Kevin Wunderlich.

Interment was at the Carlos Prairie Cemetery in Carlos Township. Services were directed by Petermeier’s Alexandria Funeral Care & Cremation Service.
