Albert Rairdon, 81, Bagley, died August 24, 2005 at Greensview Health Care Center in Bagley.Albert was born February 25, 1924 at Cadillac, Michigan to John and Bertha (Mooney) Foster. At age 10 he was adopted by Harry and Rose Rairdon of Sears, Michigan and his name changed to Albert Harry Rairdon. He graduated from Stanton High School in Michigan in 1942.
He attended Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis until he enlisted in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He received an honorable medical discharge.
Albert met Sylvia Shogren in 1943 and they were married at Svea (now Calvary) Lutheran Church in Alexandria on March 28, 1945. He worked for Hall Engineering until moving to Monument, Colorado where he worked at the Air Force Academy. Albert and Sylvia moved to Bagley in 1974.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia of Bagley; 11 children, David (Lois) Rairdon of Fort Collins, Colorado, John Rairdon of Rush City, Paul (Beverly) Rairdon of Clearbrook, Elizabeth (Dennis) Stanley of Shevlin, James (Susan) Rairdon of Indian Hills, Colorado, Peter (Joyce) Rairdon of Cass Lake, Daniel (Sharon) Rairdon of Bellevue, Colorado, Rebecca (Richard) Dunn of Porterville, California, Samuel (Carrie) Rairdon of Salol, Stephen (Margret) Rairdon of Park Rapids, Benjamin (Karon) Rairdon of Stratton, Colorado; 69 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held August 27 at Grace Free Lutheran Church in Bagley with the Rev. Lyle Twite officiating. Interment was at Carlos Prairie Cemetery at Carlos.
Arrangements were with Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley.
