Worship Theme: “Christmas According To…” We will hear from three writers unique perspectives on Advent and Christmas.
December 5: Christmas According to Andrew Greeley. Greeley is a Catholic priest, sociologist and novelist. We will hear excerpts from his novel, The Bishop and the Three Kings, including the story, “Patricia the Penny Planter.” Hymn of the Day: We Three Kings.
December 12: Christmas According to Kathleen Norris. Norris is a poet and spiritual writer; her writings include, Dakota: A Spiritual Geography. She writes of how growing up Protestant, as an adult she came to appreciate the Virgin Mary. Hymn of the Day: What Child is This.
December 19: Christmas According to Jenee Woodard. Woodard, a graduate of Augustana Lutheran College, maintains the web site, Text Week. She shares about a special Advent season with her son, who has autism. Hymn of the Day: I Am So Glad Each Christmas Eve. |
