| Here's the Story ... |
We found this land for sale in July, 2000, strictly by coincidence (or was it God-incidence?) while on a bicycle ride. Closing was held in November, and we spent some time that winter clearing a building site from the boxelder brush that covered the top of the hill. There was a lot of snow that winter, so the brush dragged down the slope fairly easily onto the huge piles we created.We put our home on West Street up for sale in May, 2001, while we attended home shows and finalized our new home design. Weis Excavating broke ground in late August; and our house closing was scheduled for 9/14/01. We moved to Brian & Bonnie's lower level and were quite comfortable there for the five months it took for Thoma Construction to complete the house. |

We made it to the top of Picacho Peak, AZ | We've been pretty busy around home, there's always plenty to do. But, we hadn't been to Arizona as a family since January 2001, Ken and Lynn since October 2001, so Sarah got off work and Kevin was on spring break and away we flew. |
