THRIVENT MOBILE FOOD TRUCK
AUGUST 7, 10 AM – NOON
The Thrivent mobile food truck will return to St. Peter’s parking lot on Friday, August 7. This is an amazing event. Last year we distributed food to over 250 people - in 2 hours! If you can help, please plan to come to St. Peter around 9am to set up tables and help unload the truck. We have had a lot of fun giving out LOTS of food and the expressions of gratitude on the faces of those we serve says Thank You in so many ways.
Jesus said, When you did this to the least of these, my brothers and sisters, you did it to me. Matthew 25:40

WORSHIP IN THE PARK
AUGUST 9, 10 AM
SHARPLEY-HARMON PARK
This is the 3rd year that St. Peter will relocate our worship service to Sharpley-Harmon Park. We will be worshiping with members of at least seven other congregations in Hillyard and many who have no home congregation. The theme of the Hillyard Festival this year is “Under Construction” and so the theme of our worship will be based on Philippians 1:6, “the One who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
Watch for more information, but make plans now to join the faith community in Sharpley-Harmon Park on August 9 at 10 am to worship.

CAFÉ!
Café is an award-winning Web based magazine for young women who want to build Community, participate in Advocacy, strengthen Faith, and strive toward Enlightenment (CAFÉ!). It incorporates a Lutheran perspective for women of Christian faith or simply for any woman who is interested in how faith can relate to the issues that women face today.
Our readers include pastors, seminary and college students, and other young women who use Café as a Bible study resource individually or within their congregations. Many also use it to learn about what the Lutheran church has to say about certain issues and to start discussions with friends or classmates.
Visit Café and sign up to receive e-mail alerts when new issues are posted. The monthly Café podcast is available at www.boldcafe.org.
