According to "Ready New York" published by the NY City Office of Emergency Management, these are the items pet owners need to assemble to be ready for the evacuation of a pet to a kennel, shelter, or place of safety other than home: 1) Water, food, and appropriate containers 2) A leash/muzzle/harness 3) A copy of all current vaccination and health records, license numbers and microchip numbers 4) A pet carrier or cage (a luggage carrier can be used to wheel the carrier around) 5) Plastic bags for pick up 6) Photo of your pet | |
