WHAT'S HAPPENING AT ST. JAMES - JANUARY, 12?

JERRY LUCAS COMES JANUARY 29 & 30!
Jerry Lucas, the basketball star from Ohio State, will be present on both Sunday and Monday, January 29 & 30 to speak on important topics for the family. On Sunday morning at both the 8:00 am and 10:30 am services he will speak on “Improving Family Relationships.” On Sunday night he will speak on “Learning Made Fun and Easy.” On Monday night he will speak on “Remembering Names and Faces.” A freewill offering will be taken at the presentations.

OUR JANUARY PRAYER SERIES - "LET'S BEGIN WITH PRAYER!"
Did you ever hear about a Prayer Journal? Do you have one and use it? Come to the worship services in January and learn more about prayer and look at the book of Phillippians where Paul often joyfully speaks to the people of Philippi and prays for them and for their mission. As we look at Paul, Pastor is going to encourage all of us to begin the year with a prayer journal. Everyone attending services will receive a notebook complete with pen. Come and find out more.

WOMEN'S BIBLE CLASS CONTINUES
Women's Bible Study continues in January. This year we’re exploring the topic “Encouraging One Another.” Everyone attending each time will receive a trinket. Plan now to join our lively discussion!

everyone should bring a sandwich; soup
will be provided.

+ 50 PLUS GROUP - JANUARY 4 & 18 On January 4th, you can get your blood pressure, sugar, and cholesterol checked — free. Bring your own brown bag lunch, (drinks are provided) On January 18th, a hot lunch will be provided. Come and join us for lunch and a game of Mexican Train. We hope to see some new faces this year. Come and see what we are all about.

+ FRIENDSHIP CIRCLE - JANUARY 4 - All women of the congregation are invited to join us at 7 pm in the Gathering Room Dues of $6.00 will be collected. This is our year planning meeting - bring ideas and in-put, plus your calendar

FELLOWSHIP CLUB - JANUARY 21: Bring a pot-luck dish to share and some ideas of fellowship events that would be fun for the whole congregation. We meet in the Gathering Room at 6:30 pm.

+ WIDOWS AND WIDOWERS - JANUARY 24: On Tuesday, all widows and widowers are invited to com for the luncheon. The menu includes: Chinese chicken, blueberry salad, and more. Contact the church office if you’re able to attend.
