SHYGA NEWS BRIEFS |
|
SHare Your GArden (SHYGA) is a volunteer program where members and friends of the congregation bring fresh garden produce to the SHYGA table in the Fellowship Hall. Worshipers can then make a donation to ELCA World Hunger Appeal and take home vegetables, fruit, etc for their meal and at the same time help those who are hungry. Our first year of SHYGA we raised over $200 and with help of ELCA we were able to give the Neighbor to Neighbor Ministries of Union County a $3,000 domestic hunger grant. | |
