Easter Egg Hunt
Typically scheduled for the Saturday before Easter. (March or April)

In 2007, this event started with lunch at 11:30. It included a craft, song, egg hunt and a goodie bag.

The highlight was the children forming an impromptu bell choir. Children rang their bell whenever their color appeared on cards held by the leader. No practice was needed! The parents were very pleased. Bring your camera!

Vacation Bible School
Typically scheduled for Sunday through Thursday one week in July.

Usually we combine resources with Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on Main Street in Ephrata.

Program is for pre-schoolers through sixth graders.

Kiddy Carnival
Typically scheduled on a Saturday in the summer.

This may be our most popular event. In past years there have been a variety of games with prizes. A large variety of food and drinks for sale. A dunk tank is a reoccuring favorite.

Sometimes there is even a garage sale.

Blessing of the Animals
Typically scheduled in October.

This event is for folks with pets of all kinds. A partially outdoor service is held where each pet recieves an individual blessing.

Naturally, this even is usually close to the annual celebrations for St Francis, the patron saint of animals.

Trunk or Treat
Typically scheduled in October.

This event is just as popular with adults as the children.

Families decorate car trunks for Halloween. Children trick-or-treat around the parking lot. Contests are held for trunk decorating and costumes. Refreshments are served in the social hall.

Frequently Asked Questions:
1) Do I need to be a member to participate?
No. Most of the people that attend the community events are not members. (Usually 80-90% of folks attending are not members.) A growing number of families attend annual events each year with no intention of becoming members.
2) Will I be pressured to attend your church service?
No. These events are not membership drives in disguise. If you ask, we can share information about other upcoming events. However, like you, we are just there to have fun for a few hours.
