Shepherd Worship |
Worship at Shepherd is the heart of our mission. We gather weekly in prayer, litany, communion, and song. We hear, we learn, we grow, and we are sent out to spread the Good News to all the world, and then we return the next Sunday. The repetition of worship deepens our faith and our commitment to God, to Christ, and to the Holy Spirit.
The Church Year begins with Advent, followed by Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Holy Week, Easter, Pentecost, and ends with Christ the King Sunday. Each Church Season has a special focus, with readings, litany, hymns, prayers, and colors.
Come and worship with us! You will be greeted and welcomed. You will feel the Holy Spirit surrounding you in love and care. Our Family of God awaits to open our hearts to you.

THE SEASON OF PENTECOST |

The Season of Pentecost begins with the Feast of the Pentecost, fifty days after Easter. Because Pentecost celebrates the descent of the Holy Spirit from heaven to all Christians, Pentecost is a season of evangelism and outreach, as Christians look for the presence of the Holy Spirit in everyone on earth.
