The Venturing program is open to youth 14 to 20 years old. They are assisted by adults 21 and older. Crew 350 has the specialty interest of Model Railroading. We concentrate on 'HO' Scale but other scales and gauges are represented in our small group of enthusiasts.The Venturer Crew 350 has a short but varied history. Started as a Club of interested Boy Scouts it was then organized as Explorer Post 350 in 1991. The Explorer Post was started in order to include community members. With the start of the new Venturing Program in the Fall of 2000 we became Venturer Crew 350, which is open to any youth or adult, yes, it's co-ed, if any are interested.
We do meet at a late time on selected Friday evenings - the schedule always should be checked for date and time -AND- a call must be made to check that the meeting is actually on for that night. Because it is late evening meeting, youth members are driven home. If there is no transportation available that night, the meeting will be cancelled, and members notified.
Currently there is a 5' x 9' two level 'HO' Scale layout under construction on selected Friday evenings. Members own their own motive power and rolling stock.
