| 120th ANNIVERSARY |
| |
Sunday, October 11th was a milestone for St. Jacobi. It was the 120th Anniversay event, Former and present members came together to give Thanks and celebrate with a Concert.Several score were present for the Service of Thanksgiving followed by a musical tribute. The talents of mebers and Friend and the marvelous 1931 Moeller Organ were used for the concert. It was wonderful to see so many former mebers. After the celebration there was time to talk of old times and hear of the current plans to rebuild the Congregation. The future is hopeful for the 125th. . |

| ST. JACOBI IS ALIVE IN 2009 |
| |
A look at St. Jacobi's first half year in Transition is very nicely a positive one. Average Sunday attendance is growing. The Congregation is pulling together and looking to the future.Members have added to the Saturday night program a short Bible discussion to the Culture Club. There is also a Sunday Fellowship for older youth. Since January Sunday attendance has increase 35%. Participation in all activities are up as well. The vacancy transistion activities are progressing well. Membership, Finance and Property reviews were completed within six months. Continuing discussions of our Mission, Vision and future are going well with the next phase being started with the assistance of Ps. Ian Cheung or fourth Transistion Pastor. There is a positive attitude among Congregation members. The presence of the energy for a future in Sunset Park can almost be felt. We are thankful for His guidence and presence as we move into the second half of 2007. . |

| 2009 ST. JACOBI DAY PICNIC |
 A few of the participants | |
The 2009 Church Picnic, a celebration of St. Jacobi(James) Day was on a bueatiful morning at Sunset Park. The annual event is a part of the regular Congregational activities and this year also a part of the Anniversay celebration. It was warm and sunny as Lelia Johnson found a Picnic Table as a centerpience to the gathering of members. The day was too nice perhaps, as many had other this needing to be done. There were fewer than last year attending but that was not to say the enjoyment was any less. Of note was the help given by members to see that Martha Nicolay, one of the longest members of St. Jacobi was made a part of the event. Martha is homebound and requires help to gry pit pg jrt a[art, emt. She was a part of the Picnic for about an hour and a half. She enoyed being outside for a change. We were on the 41st STreet side near the Basketball Courts under shade and talking and munching on snacks during the office two hours of the Picnic. Members were then free to enjoy the Swimming Pool and other activities of the Park. Yes, a good time was had by all who attended. . |
