Summer Lunch Program...The summer lunch program offered 2007 lunches, picked up by children at risk for hunger. We served several new families as well as many who have been with us since the first summer. On the last day each child received a bracelet with symbols of Jesus coming to earth, dying on the cross, His empty tomb, and His ascension to heaven. The meanings of the symbols were explained. The bracelets were donated by a couple from Immanuel.

The lunch program could not exist without the cadre of exceptional volunteers from Trinity, Immanuel, and some from the community. Most volunteers have been with the program since its beginning but once again new volunteers joined us this year.
Thank you to all who answered our call for peanut butter as well as those who offered monetary donations. We really appreciate all donations. The grant we received does not fully cover the expenses for this program.

If it be God’s will we will be planning the fifth summer lunch program in the spring of 2012.
