Parish Nurses...National Distracted Driving Awareness Month
God loves us and everyone on the road. We protect ourselves and others by avoiding distraction.
NEVER send nor read text or e-mail messages while driving.
It draws a driver’s eyes, mind and hands away from the road. On average, texting causes drivers to look away from the road for 4.6 seconds. At 55 mph, the vehicle travels the length of an entire football field - including both end zones - while the driver isn’t looking.
DON'T make nor answer calls on hand-held cell phones while driving.
Wait till you pull over. Drivers using cell phones behind the wheel miss half of the information in their driving environment.
Even talking on a hands-free phone reduces attention to road conditions.
Don't drive distracted. In love, discuss the danger with others who do.

Book Review
Each Day With Jesus
Author: Rudolph F. Norden
This is a wonderful daily devotion book in large print and very easy to read. Each devotion connects God’s Word to our daily lives. One example: The April 8 devotion states, “The Holy Christian church is God’s hospital where the spiritually sick are made well. Thank God for Christ’s clinic where sinners are made happy and healthy through faith in Him!
