The stewardship income (white envelope, basket, extra mile etc.) for the month of September was $2,510 under budget and the two month period was about $500 over budget. For the month of September, the expenses were approximately $4,000 more than the income, and for the two month period the expenses were about $900 more than the income.

The contributions to the Mortgage Loan Fundraiser were $1,535 for the two month period of the fiscal year. The balance due on the mortgage at September 30 was $21,691. Under the Maximizing Gifts program, our payments to DLS were reduced by $5,208 for the two months. The Scrip income for the two month period was $138.

HAM FUNDRAISER
We are going to have another fundraiser through Leiding’s Meats. It will start in November with delivery December 12. Tentatively, we will be offering the three sizes of hams again. The hams we got at Easter time were delicious; they won Grand Champion at both state and national competition. Please think about getting your Christmas ham through this fundraiser. Payment must be made at the time of ordering. Our profit on these hams is quite high; we made almost $200 on 25 hams! They will be delivered to the church for pickup there. Watch for bulletin inserts.

SCRIP PROGRAM
The national scrip program has a wide variety of cards that can be ordered for Christmas gifts. We get a percentage of the face value of the card; it varies by merchant. There is a list of merchants on the card table in the chapel hallway, or you can look them up in the comfort of your own home at www.glscrip.com. The order blanks are also on the table; if you don’t see a merchant card from the list, you can write in the “Other Category” on the order blank. The cards will be ordered Tuesday, November 3, with pick up Sunday, November 8; ordered Tuesday, December 1, with pick up Sunday, December 6.
