About Our Church

Our church was founded in the year of Our Lord, 1926. Redeemer was a mission arm of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn. A building site was purchased in August 1927 and Claudius Kulow was called as our first pastor.

Since then, The English Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Redeemer has served the community of St. Albans and also currently has members from all over New York City and Long Island.

Redeemer is known as the "friendly church" and welcomes all who want the word and love of God in thier lives.
