Dedication of Luther Hall |
Praise the Lord! The lond awaited Dedication of Luther Hall took place on October 18 at 4pm. Thanks to all who participated in this project over the years. LWML members were involved in various stages of planning the reception, and finally the invitations went out to celebrate. Luther Hall was a sight to behold with decorations using the LCMS colors, along with tables laden with delicious foods. We look forward to many such events using our facilities to the Glory of God! | |

The Annual Bazaar |

Saturday November 7, 9am to 2pm, including lunch (soup, desserts, etc.) Set up will be Friday November 6 at 1pm. The ladies of Bethlehem are using their talents to provide many items for sale, including handmade items, gift ideas, baked goods, knick knacks, etc. EVERYONE COME - INVITE YOUR FRIENDS, NEIGHBORS, CO-WORKERS. | |

The CHAIR Fund |
established to enable the church to purchase new chairs for Luther Hall. Donations (make checks payable to the church) in any amount can be put into an envelope marked "Chair Fund" and placed into the offering plate. | |

The East Texas Zone Fall Rally |
|
took place Saturday October 17, at Our Redeemer in Longview. Three of our ladies represented Bethlehem-Palestine. The speaker was Sarah Livesay, a young woman who spent 2 weeks in Slavakia working in two church camps. Her presentation was about relationships and the perceptions of people around the world who based their knowledge of the U.S. on the music and movies that are exported to other countries. | |

by shopping at Kroger's. In the Narthex, pick up the handout containing the barcode, do your shopping, then hand the cashier you Kroger Plus card along with the barcode information to scan. Then each time you use your card, a small percentage will be set aside for use in our varios projects. | |

Our Cookbook |
|
In the Fellowship Hall, we have our cookbooks on display for your inspection. “The Fruit of the Spirit” is available for $10 each -- a gift for any occasion. This collection of delicious recipes may be purchased through any LWML member or during the Bazaar.

Military Care Packages |
|
Care Packages for Bethlehem’s Military personnel are being assembled. A list of items is posted in the Narthex so that you may participate. Additionally, greeting cards are being sent to those listed in the bulletin who are serving in some capacity | |

Card Fronts |
|
from birthday and anniversary cards, Christmas cards, etc., are being collected for use by residents of St. Jude's Ranch to make greeting cards to sell. Do not include portions of the card with personal notes. Look for a collection box in the Narthex. Marge Cathey has sent the first box which weighed 12-1/2 pounds to St. Jude. | |
