LORAC summer daycamp is June 22-26 at Stone Lutheran
Church. Camp is open to youth entering grades 1-7 this fall.
There is a $20 registration fee per camper this year. Some campships
are available through the church. Call the church office for
details or to register.
Hillsdale CARES is collecting picnic items in June.
Throughout the month of June we will be collecting picnic items
to supplement our weekly bread ministry. Suggested items are
Ketchup, Mustard, Baked Beans, Napkins or Paper Towels, Hot Dogs,
Pop Ices, Salty Snacks, Koolaid, Peanut Butter and Jelly or Jam.
The bread ministry could also use gallon size plastic bags that
zip shut, paper grocery bags, sturdy cardboard boxes, and gift
cards of any amount that can be given to needy families for food
or gas. If you or someone you know could benefit from our bread
ministry, please contact the church office.
Our church festival will be Saturday, June 27 at Lewis
Park. Serving begins at 5 p.m. and includes a full menu of sandwiches,
sides, drinks and desserts. Contact Sue Bicker, Susan Brown,
or Loretta Moreland to volunteer to help or donate food items.
All proceeds will go toward Hillsdale CARES.
Beginning June 29, Trinity members are encouraged to join
other Lutherans throughout the nation in 50 days of prayer
before the Synod Assembly meets in August. We will be meeting
at the church each Sunday at 9:45 for a faith intitiative which
will include time for prayer and Bible reflection. Study resources
are available at the church and at www.elca.org/50days.
Outdoor Worship with St. Michael's Lutheran will be
July 12 at 10 a.m. at the First English Lutheran Retreat Site
on 603. Please bring a lawnchair and an item to share for the
potluck picnic to follow worhsip. In case of rain we will meet
in the shelterhouse.
Vacation Bible School will be July 26-30, 6-8:30 pm
and will be held at the United Methodist and Trinity Lutheran
churches in Jeromesville. All area youth (preschool through grade
5) are welcome to join us for a week of crafts, songs, snacks
and fun Bible learning!
