Rev. Martin Schlossman, Interim Pastor 630 S. Eisenhower Dr. Junction City, KS 66441 Church Phone (785)238-6007 Early Childhood Center Phone (785)238-5921 Welcome to the Webpage for Immanuel Lutheran Church, Junction City, Kansas, USA. We hope that you will find helpful information here about our church, but most of all we hope that you will see Jesus here. Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, Son of God and Son of Man, and we strive to serve him faithfully because of the great love he showed us through his death on the cross and his resurrection. Immanuel is the largest Lutheran church in Geary County, with an average of 150 people worshipping together each Sunday. Service is at 10:30AM, with Sunday School and Bible Classes at 9:15AM. What is distinctive about Immanuel and the Lutheran Church? Our distinctiveness comes from what we believe, teach, and confess. Other churches may be distinctive because of how they are structured or who their leaders are. But the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod has a long history, dating back to Luther himself and his rediscovery of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, of being a teaching church. If you would like to know more about what we believe, teach, and confess, you are invited to go to www.lcms.org and review our denomination's webpage, especially the pages about what we believe and confess. At the core of those beliefs are the biblical truths taught in the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed, the Athanasian Creed, and Luther's Small and Large Catechisms (all of which are at www.lcms.org.)
"In grateful response to God's grace and empowered by the Holy Spirit through Word and Sacraments, the Mission of the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod is vigorously to make known the love of Christ by word and deed within our churches, communities, and the world." Currently we are in the process of calling a new Pastor for Immanuel. Pastor Christensen has gone back in the Army to serve our troops as a Chaplain. We pray that the Lord will look over him, bless his ministry, and keep him safe. To get daily devotions or a weekly sermon through email, please visit the Lutheran Hour webpage.
