During his ministry at St. John for 31 years, membership grew from 28 to a few less than 1000. | Trinity Lutheran Church exists for worship and to glorify God through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with the preaching of the Gospel, the administration of the sacraments, and by carrying out our Lord's great commission to make disciples of all nations, by baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. We are also very much concerned about those who are not yet a part of the body of Jesus Christ in the World and encourage the members of our church family to witness daily to the Gospel of Christ in the words and actions of their life to promote unity of faith and to foster Christian fellowship. We believe the Bible is God's Word, revealing to us the good news of Jesus' life, death and resurrection for us. Living joyfully as members of God's community, we seek to serve Him by sharing His love, growing in knowledge and faith, showing this faith in our daily lives, and by caring for others in His name. The Social Ministry Committee of Trinity Lutheran Church is very active through Lutheran World Relief, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, and various community agencies - Community with a Heart, Salvation Army, Rape Crisis Center, Interfaith, Arnett House and others, and routinely contributes thousands of dollars annually to community and global programs.
