2nd Chance Ministries
Second Chance Cooperating Ministries of Hope is a St. Louis area-wide effort to unite Lutherans in a local mission effort. We reach out to people who are seeing a "second chance" to improve their physical financial and Spiritual lives.

Friend of Moms, Good Samaritan Service Center and Lutheran Ministries Association are cooperating in urging congregations to become involved in local mission outreach.

Second Chance Ministries wants to help you organize your friends and congregation in a volunteer effort in support of professional caseworkers and educators didicated to these three ministries.

FRIEND OF MOMS provides comprehensive professional counseling to teen parents and their young children while giving encouragement to move forward in continuing education and career paths.

GOOD SAMARITAN SERVICE CENTER provides transitional housing, support services, intense case management, job placement and temporary child care to help launch new lives.

LUTHERAN MINISTRIES ASSOCIATION works through Lutheran chaplains to bring mercy, understanding and practical resources to individuals and families taxed beyond their limits in dealing with incarceration.

HELP CREATE CHANGED LIVES

Volunteer groups can adopt a transitional house for a year and help provide needed maintenance and care.

Volunteers can help organize and carry out the delivery of thousands of Christmas presents to families of those incarcerated.

Volunteers can help stock emergency supplies to help preganant teens and young parents through difficult times.

Volunteers can help spark the lives of young children who are victims of difficult times by organzing special trips to the zoo or other fun places.

Volunteers can provide small games and toys for youngsters travelling across Missouri on busses to visit parents in state penitentiaries.
