Our church was founded on October 19, 1940 when the Lutherans of this area gathered for their first formal worship as a Lutheran Church. Our only remaining founding member is Lee Wells, mother of Karyn Carriero. Lee resides at the Lakeshore Residential Care Center in Irving, NY.

In our first 65 years, our church has been served by 8 pastors, 473 children and adults have been baptized here, 394 Confirmands have confessed their faith here, approximately 158,440 have received holy communion here, and more than 4,000 messages on the Word of God have been delivered from our pulpit and lectern.
