ADULT FORUM
Adult Forum is held each Sunday from September through May at 10:00 am in the Conference Room. Join us for a lively discussion of faith, values, and current events. Study Leader: Pastor Jim

BIBLE STUDIES
The following groups meet in the Conference Room for a time of learning, discussion, praying, and worshiping our God

Mondays at 10:00 a.m.
A group of men and women meet each week -led by Pastor Jim

Tuesdays at 7:30 a.m.
Men of St. Ansgar meet each week-led by Pastor Jim

Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m.
A study for St. Ansgar men- led by Pastor Jim

Thursdays at 1:00 p.m.
Carol M. leads a study for the women of the church

HOSPITAL CARE TEAM
This group visits people in the hospital and prays with them. We do not take Pastor Jim's place, but we help make sure people are visited more often.

PRAYER CHAIN
You may request to have yourself, a family member or a friend added to our prayers for the length of time needed. We welcome new links to the Chain.

SHUT-IN VISITORS
Congregation members help Pastor Jim visitor our shut-ins to bring Communion to them. This way everyone receives communion at least once a month.

CHURCH COUNCIL
The St. Ansgar Council meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. If you have questions, concerns or good ideas for the church, stop us in the hallway, leave a message at the church office or come and visit the Council meeting. We need to hear from you!

PROPERTY COMMITTEE
We are a sounding board for mechanical and maintenance issues. We assess the problem and arrange needed repairs.

HOUSE OF HOPE
House of Hope gives young mothers a chance to start over, when to them all seems lost. We help this ministry through our offerings, gifts and work projects.

STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE
St. Ansgar strives to serve God as a mission oriented church. Ourcommittee helps guide our efforts by challenging us to offer our resources to God--our time, talents, gifts and prayers.

SOCIAL CONCERNS MINISTRIES
We meet about every four months to discuss community programs, projects and opportunities in response to the needs of children and families. The Mission Cross projects are also supervised by this committee.

WORSHIP COMMITTEE
We determine if anything on Sunday or Monday during worship needs to be changed, improved or deleted.

MUGGERS
We are a group that brings a St. Ansgar mug--along with a church brochure and small bag of candy to people who have worshiped with us for the first time. It's our way of saying, "Thank you for worshiping with us, and we would like to have you come back."

WELCOME MINISTRY
Our group serves to help others come closer to God by ensuring a welcoming worship experience. We offer a friendly hello, guide visitors, care for God's house and share our faith in order to help St. Ansgar fulfill its mission.

MONTHLY POTLUCK
Our congregation and friends meet at 5:30 on the second Wednesday each month for food, fun and fellowship. Plates, glasses and settings are provided.Everyone is welcome. We always have more than enough food.

LENTEN MEALS
Before worship during Lent we meet together for a meal. Congregation groups take turns planning and preparing the meal.

FUNERAL LUNCHES
Lunches are served in the Fellowship Hall following funerals. We need people to provide salads, cakes and to help with preparation and serving.

MENS GROUP MEALS
Our Mens Group prepares meals for us through out the year.

MEN'S GROUP
The men of St. Ansgar meet for breakfast at Southtown on the second and fourth Wednesdays at 7:30 a.m. They also meet through out the year for fun, fellowship and service.

SON RAYS
We are the worship leaders for alternative worship on Sunday. We play guitar, drums, keyboard and sing. If you would like to sing or play with us contact Pastor Jim.

FESTIVAL SINGERS
We are a fun loving group who praise God with our songs. We sing Christmas Eve and Easter Sunday.

SPECIAL MUSIC
If you are a musician and/or a vocalist you are more than welcome to share music with the congregation during worship. Just talk to Pastor Jim to let him know when you would like to do this.

WOMEN OF THE ELCA (WELCA)

ESTHER CIRCLE
Meets on the third Tuesday of each month in the Fellowship Hall. Pastor Jim leads the Bible study starting at 7:00 p.m. We also support several area service projects. We welcome new members.

RUTH CIRCLE
Meets the first Wednesday of each month in the Fellowship Hall. Pastor Jim leads the Bible study at 12:00 p.m. We are involved in and sponsor several functions during the year.

CRAZY QUILTER"S
We meet twice a month on the second Thursday and Fourth Wednesday at 9:00 to make quilts. The coffee is always hot.

WIDOWS GROUP
Meet most months for socialization and a meal. We have a great time together.

We are the people who read scripture, chant, light the candles, pass out bulletins and help distribute Holy Communion. We are always looking for more help!

ALTAR GUILD
If you are a behind the scenes person, but want to do your part, this is for you. Duties are light and easy: preparing for communion, checking candles, dusting and cleaning up after services. We need help on Sundays and Mondays with this important ministry.

WORSHIP DECORATORS
We decorate the sanctuary, altar area and entryways with seasonal colors and themes. This includes making banners, flower arrangements and other altar decorations.

SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday School is open to every child from age 4 through the 6th grade. We meet on Sunday after worship for 45 minutes. Learning about Jesus is the most important thing we do but we also sing, do crafts, and occasionally perform for the congregation.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Our VBS meets at night for a series of four nights sometime during the summer. We emphasize community service, bible study, crafts, recreation and song.

CONFIRMATION
Pastor Jim meets with a group of youth every Wednesday during the School Year to study the Bible, enjoy group fellowship and discuss important topics. It is a two year program starting in the Sixth grade. If you would like your child in Confirmation please contact Pastor Jim.
