LLL International Convention
to be in
Billings, Montana in 2006
Great news! The Montana District LLL is hosting the League's international convention in Billings July 6-9, 2006. This event is a wonderful opportunity to see how God is using the International Lutheran Laymen's League to open doors for hearing His Word at home and around the world.
This is an exciting happening, but it will take a lot of people power to make this event a huge success. We are looking for volunteers from all over the state to help. We need singers for the adult and children's choirs. We also need ushers, flag bearers, ticket takers, quilt sewers for table decorations, and help in the registration and hospitality booths - the list goes on and on.
The convention gets underway with a Communion service mid-afternoon on Thursday, July 6. The big event is The Lutheran Hour Rally on Saturday afternoon, with Rev. Ken Klaus, speaker of The Lutheran Hour, as preacher. Dr. Dale Meyer, former speaker of The Lutheran Hour and current president of Concordia Seminary - St. Louis, is the speaker at the Friday lunch. Friday evening will feature a steak and turkey fondue dinner followed by entertainment. There is a banquet on Saturday evening, and Sunday morning's events are a Bible study and church service followed by brunch. The general public is invited to attend The Lutheran Hour Rally on Saturday. No convention registration is necessary for the Rally. Additional information regarding Rally time and place, and official convention registration forms will be published at a later date.
We hope to have a lot of registrants for the entire convention but, in any event, lots of volunteer helpers. See you there!
