Malaria is both Preventable and Treatable!
Zion Lutheran Church in Mount Olive, IL is reaching out to the community to ask your help to prevent Malaria!

Malaria is a disease which is transmitted by mosquitoes. Malaria, causes 200 million illnesses per year and kills nearly one million people -- mostly children under the age of five. Every 45 seconds, a child dies from a malaria infection. Malaria has killed more people than all wars combined, and continues to be one of the greatest public health challenges facing humans today in underdeveloped countries. Malaria remains one of the deadliest diseases in many countries, infections and deaths can be prevented by sleeping under insecticide-treated bed nets. Unfortunately, the cost of only $10.00 a net is well out of the reach of most people who live in malaria prone areas. Zion Lutheran Church, Mount Olive, IL is reaching out to the local communities to help their effort to fight Malaria. $10.00 donations for a net can be given to Zion Lutheran Church, 500 Old Rt. 66, Mount Olive, IL 62069. If you have any further question about the Malaria community outreach, please contact the church at 217-999-4781 or email zionmto@frontier.com
