Thrivent Financial Congregational Service Team Past Projects

ULCSC has an active Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Congregational Service Team. Over the decades, we have been the direct recipient of over $100,000 in grants, matching funds, and work project funds. These funds were used to over $600,000 worth of effect in our congregation and our community. If you have a Thrivent Financial insurance policy or mutual fund, you are part of this group. If you'd like to join our activities, but not purchase any financial product, an associate membership is available for $10. Contact the ULCSC office for more information on either membership method. Over the years our team has performed the following projects:
  • Primary sponsor and builders of a Habitat for Humanity House
  • Provide funds for a Tanzaniza Seminary Evangelism Center
  • Supplement funds for two Tanzaniza Water Wells serving twelve villages
  • Provide funds for Christmas Store presents for teens
  • Support East Main Place remodeling projects
  • Remodel book cases in ULCSC offices
  • Help communicate "Angel Food" project, selling and distributing food
