Thrivent Financial Service Team Current Projects

ULCSC has an active Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Congregational Service Team. This year, we have been the direct recipient of over $6,700 in grants, matching funds, and work project funds. These funds were used to over $600,000 worth of effect in our congregation and our community. If you have a Thrivent Financial insurance policy or mutual fund, you are part of this group. If you'd like to join our activities, but not purchase any financial product, an associate membership is available for $10. Contact the ULCSC office for more information on either membership method. Our current projects are as follows:
  • Primary sponsor and builders of a Habitat for Humanity House
  • Sponsor Gingerbread House building project for an Advent Event
  • Fund work project of ULCSC kids purchasing presents for needy "Christmas Store" teens
  • Provide materials for bookcase project in church office
  • Provide communications materials for "Angel Food" project
  • Provide funds for a Tanzaniza Seminary Evangelism Center
  • Supplement funds for two Tanzaniza Water Wells serving twelve villages
We're working on projects for 2006. If you've got a fund raiser or work project, please contact one of the Congregational Support Team members at ULCSC to add it to the list. If you'd like to volunteer to help on some of these projects, contact us as well.
