During the winter, the men participate in Monday night dartball for fun and fellowship.
First Lutheran has three youth groups: the Senior FLY (First Lutheran Youth), the Junior FLY and the 4th-6th Grade group. Each group meets once a month during the school year and participates in activities such as trips to the Mall of America, the Iowa Corn Maze and the National Youth Gathering.
The Senior High youth group has round table discussions the fourth Wednesday of the month. These discussions center around topics that the youth are interested in. In spring this group presents a mystery dinner theater.
Each year in December the entire congregation hosts a popular soup and pie supper.
