There will be a collection area in the Health Ministry Room, or you can bring them to church with you on Saturday, April 21st. for the Spring Cluster. Thanks for your help with this project.

CHURCH BASEMENT LADIES - APRIL 22 – 2 PM
A new musical comedy will be at TPAC. It is “heavenly fun,” a celebration of the church basement kitchen and the women who work there. Funny, touching and down-to-earth, audiences will recognize these ladies as they see the year unfold from below the House of God. Over 600 sold out performances were presented in Minneapolis. This is great Lutheran tradition about those wonderful ladies who make things happen.
Join us to see the show April 22 as a group at the discount price of 26.50 per person. We are attending the 2 p.m. show on Sunday, April 22. Please put your name on the list in the hallway this Sunday, or call Les Hinton 871-9233. Please make checks payable to Les Hinton by April 2. Time sensitive! Over 30 members have already signed up for the show.
2007 COUNTRY MUSIC MARATHON - APRIL 28
Again this year the youth of First Lutheran Church invite you to join them as they volunteer at a water stop at the Country Music Marathon and Half-Marathon. The date is Saturday April 28, 2007. This is always a wonderful opportunity for fellowship and service to the community. Volunteers will receive a free race T-shirt and a free ticket to the post-race concert held at the Gaylord Entertainment Center, headlined this year by country star Sara Evans. All volunteers will need to fill out a volunteer form which is available in the hallway outside the Gernert Room. If you have any questions, or to turn in a volunteer form, please contact Steve Hoff at 661-0578.
CHURCH WORK DAY – APRIL 29
Sunday, April 29, after second service, we have planned a Work Day. Pizza and drinks will be provided for lunch in the Dining Hall. Please stay and help out with some cleaning, painting, indoor and outdoor projects that are needed to keep our Church Home inviting and welcoming. Some projects include: painting our Choir Room; trimming our bushes; weeding our flower beds, disassembling and removing the walk-in refrigerator behind the kitchen that died – fun for everyone. For those who wish to do so, you may wear work appropriate attire to church that day. Please stay that Sunday to help; the more people that help, the lighter and more enjoyable the work becomes for all involved. Take advantage of this opportunity for service and fellowship. There will be a sign-up sheet posted outside the Gernert Room for those planning to attend.
A VERY IMPORTANT SYNOD ASSEMBLY JUNE 1-3
This June 1-3 (Friday - Sunday) congregations from all over the SE Synod will gather at the Sheraton Midtown Atlanta at Colony Square for the Annual Assembly. This Assembly has increased importance because we shall be electing a new Bishop and Treasurer for the SE Synod.
Church Council will elect two delegates from First Lutheran to represent the congregation. We are looking for a man and a woman to serve as voting members at this assembly. We are entitled to two voting members and all pastors have one vote. Consider prayerfully this opportunity to represent First Lutheran. Expenses are paid by the congregation. Contact Archie Carver, Council President, or Elizabeth Hurd, Council Secretary for more information and your willingness to serve. Pray for this important assembly in Atlanta, GA.
