A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Pastor Oliver attended Newberry College and graduated from Charleston Southern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She also obtained a Masters of Education degree in Counselor Education from The Citadel Military College in Charleston. Over the years Pastor Nancy has been involved in countless community volunteer projects including bible camps, Habitat for Humanity, Crop Walk for World Hunger, Lutheran Senior Services, and the Red Cross just to name a few.
Pastor Oliver worked with South Carolina Social Services in Charleston, the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, and Child Support Enforcement in Jacksonville before returning to the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia where she received her Masters of Divinity degree. While at Southern Seminary she served as a student assistant for two years at Cedar Grove Lutheran Church in Leesville.
Following graduation from LTSS, Pastor Nancy served as pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville, Missouri. It was with great joy that the congregation of Good Shepherd Lutheran extended a call to Pastor Nancy to serve as our pastor in 2004.
