Rev. Matthew C. Harrison installed as 13th LCMS president
More than 1,200 people attended the installation service for Harrison and some 75 other leaders Sept. 11 in the Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus on the campus of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.

You can help Lutherans in the U.S. and around the world who are suffering great hardships. Your gifts to LCMS World Relief and Human Care provide tangible relief and personal care to people in need.

► CDs and cassettes of the “Good Times” Trio are available from the Ladies Aid at Christ for $10 each. They performed at our Outdoor Christian Concert in Highland this summer. The money will go into the Pingle Fund for seminary student support and will also be supplemented by Thrivent.

► Campbell’s (soups, etc.) only accepts UPC symbols now, not front labels, when saving for Bethesda Lutheran Home.

► Campbell’s (soups, etc.) only accepts UPC symbols now, not front labels, when saving for Bethesda Lutheran Home.

► October was Clergy Appreciation Month! We give thanks to Pastor Meier for his spiritual teaching and continued commitment to our congregation and community.

► Our Circuit Forum, held Sept. 10th, elected Rev. Fredrick Davison (St. Luke, Richland Center) and Don McCauley (St. Peter, Reedsburg) as voting delegates for OUR SYNOD’S 2007 CONVENTION and Pastor Meier and Irv Lupee (Apostle's, Platteville) as alternates.


SEPTEMBER 2006

► Have you picked up a copy of the The Lutheran Digest lately? The magazine features great articles on Christian living, humor and more. Copies are available in the back of the church.
