Marathon running is cool.

I love reading the Bible. It's the high point of my day. I start out by reading it first thing!
The problem is that I try to apply it to my life in a fearful way, and that doesn't work. I need to apply it only in love.
I pray that I am more aware of what the implications are of what I say and do. I sometimes seem to be blind to that. Aaaaaaah!

This is my favorite new prayer (after the Lord's Prayer, of course): My Lord God, I do not know where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. Nor do I know for certain where it will end. I do not even know myself. And the fact that I think I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so. But I do believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you. I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope I never do anything apart from that desire. I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road, though I may know nothing about it. I will trust you always, even though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will have no fear, for I know you are always with me and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.
