Windows 1905
The windows of Oak Grove are particularly special to us. They are part of history, the beauty of the building, and help remind us of important themes from scripture.

The style of the building is Gothic throughout, constructed with a drop floor with two rows of pews. There are aisles on each side and wider center aisle, as seating capacity of 300. The windows are of beautiful art glass with emblems of scripture on each. The altar, pulpit and lectern are richly carved and finished in natural wood tones. The large bell in tower was a gift from Jacob Dambach, Sr.

The windows were refurbished in 1995 by the Renaissance Glassworks Inc., Canonsburg, PA.

(Luke 22:6-8)

For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
(1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

Anchor Window

Anchor

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.
(Hebrews 6:19)

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
(Philippians 2:8)

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you
loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
(Matthew 16:19)

Decending Dove Window

Dove

As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him.

The Ten Commandments Window

He declared to you his covenant, the Ten Commandments, which he commanded you to follow and then wrote them on two stone tablets.
(Deuteronomy 4:12-14)

Entrance Window

This front entrance window has welcomed worshipers for over 100 years. The new doors were made from the oak trees that grew on the property and provided shade for the church grounds for more than 300 years!

...And, our congregation has been meeting for nearly 138 years!

Scales Window

This window was stored in the attic of the church for 50 years. It has been framed
with wood from our oak trees and will be displayed soon in the sanctuary.
Scales

In God is my deliverance and my honor;
God is my strong rock and my refuge.
Put your trust in God always, O people,
pour out your hearts before the one who is our refuge.
Those of high degree are but a fleeing breath;
those of low estate cannot be trusted.
Placed on the scales together they weigh evenless than a breath.
Put no trust in extortion; in robbery take no empty pride;
though wealth increase, set not your heart upon it.
God has spoken once, twice have I heard it,
that power belongs to God.
Steadfast love belongs to you, O lord,
for you repay all according to their deeds.
(Psalm 62-5-12)

The LORD abhors dishonest scales, but accurate weights are his delight.
Proverbs 11:1-3

...good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over... for with the same measure that ye mete...it shall be measured to you..."
(Luke 6:38)
