COFFEE HOUR

The Coffee Hour is an important part of our service as it gives all of us an opportunity to know one another better, as well as to make visitors feel welcome and to get acquainted with them.

It is the custom of Cross of Christ for all of the members of the congregation to take their turn in helping with the Coffee Hour.

            DUTIES

BOTH SERVICES

·         Bring a snack of some kind – it can be home baked or purchased.

·         Have the coffee, and juice for the children, prepared so it is ready when

the service ends.

·         Prepare both regular and decaf  - 3 scoops

Coffee and koolade are in the kitchen cupboard.

·         Place coffee and snacks on moveable counter.

·         When the Coffee Hour is over please clean the kitchen and put things

                away, and move counter back.

After the early service leave coffee – people drink it during the

                Sunday School hour.

·         Make sure that the fellowship hall is vacuumed after each service.  The

vacuum cleaner is located in the hall closet

Be sure basket is put out for donations for the Equal Exchange Coffee.

LATE SERVICE

If there are left over goodies after the late service they may be put in the

freezer for later use.

·         Please empty the kitchen trash into the Waste Management trash bin outside

of the sanctuary (right through the exit door in the sanctuary and on your

                right).

If you are not familiar with the kitchen there is always someone around

to assist you, and will help!

Those to serve are listed in the Newsletter a month ahead and a letter is sent as a reminder the week before.

If you are not able to serve on your assigned Sunday, please trade with

someone who is listed on a more convenient date and notify the church

office by the Tuesday before so that the proper name will be in the

bulletin.

Be sure money is not left in the basket.  It should be picked up by the

Deacon.

Thank you for your assistance in this hospitality service.
