A Message from Pastor Kiesel - St. Johns Lutheran Church |
In Jeremiah there is a wonderful verse recorded in chapter 37: "And the king asked him secretly in his house, and said, Is there any word from the Lord? and Jeremiah said, There is. ""Is there any word from the Lord? There is ... " That is always the answer to this question. There is always a word from the Lord. Scripture is timeless. Here in the Bible is the full and final revelation of God to man. Here is God's last word and only word. All that God ever has to say to man is here in His Word. All that God ever says is only the interpretation and the enforcement of what is here already in the Holy Scriptures. God has nothing to add to what He has revealed. And, therefore, the Bible is up to date for every age. Thinking of our own time and in view of the general confusion in our own society and in the world today, we need to ask: "Is there any word from the Lord?" And with all confidence we receive God's answer: "There is!" Does your soul yearn for “the word from the Lord?” Join us at 9:00 AM on Sunday mornings to feed on the God’s pure word found in the Bible. | |

Young Peoples Message for Life Sunday |
On Sunday January 16, 2011 St. Johns celebrated Life Sunday. The Young Peoples message was based on Psalm 139 verse 13 where the Psalmist describes how God "knitted me together in my mother's womb." This wonderful description has enormous implications for how we view ourselves and all human life.In his message Pastor Kiesel illustrated the lesson with an old Afghan that had been knitted for him and described our mother's womb as "God's knitting room."
