VBS 2010 Memories |

Planet Zoom rememberedThe week of June 21, 2010 we had a wonderful turnout of kids and helpers for Planet Zoom, our Vacation Bible School. Kids grew in faith at Planet Zoom as they ZIPPED into VBS and ZAPPED into God’s Word. They helped each other learn with memorable activities, confessed that they BEE-LIEVE in Jesus, our Savior, and then ZOOMED out to share Jesus’ love in the world. You see, our beehive was a busy place. Builder bees made honey and honeycomb. Baby Bees were born, grew up, and learned. Scouts and pollinators flew in and out. Bees stuck together for the good of the hive and every bee had a job to do. They came to the hive to eat, rest, and get ready to go back into the world to do their work. Our church was a busy place too. At VBS, kids explored five Bible stories, did fun activities, sang great songs, made awesome crafts, played energetic games, ate creative snacks, and more! And now they're zooming back into the world to do the work God gave us to do—believe in Jesus, live as God’s people, and tell other people about Him |

Monday: Jesus our Friend Reaches Out “Friends Reach Out”
Our first day on the Trail Raya Raccoon helped us learned about how Jesus reaches out to sinners as we explored Matthew 9:9-13 the story about Jesus reaching out to Matthew, a sinner and a tax collector.

Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church's annual Vacation Bible School took us on a Friendship Trek. We met several animal friends that remind us of Jesus, our Forever Friend, and through Him alone, we have life everlasting. Each day presented something new and exiting. We learned that Jesus, our Forever Friend, reaches out to us; loves us; gives us the gift of eternal life; cares about us; and shares Himself as He gave up his life for each one of us. We shared music, bible stories and bible verses, snacks, crafts and friendship as we gather together along the trail.A special Vacation Bible School Sunday was celebrated on June 29th, beginning with Sunday school at 9:00 AM followed by a special worship service. We at Mount Calvary Lutheran loved having you as part of our Friendship Trek.
