|
|
| Born in 1952, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
- Our mission statement is
- Gathering in Christ
. . . Sharing His Love
Gathering in Christ, we celebrate Holy Communion weekly and practice what is known as "open communion." Members or not, all are welcome to the Lord's table.
Thus far in 2008, Gloria Dei members have shared Christ's Love through contributions to the Community Hunger Project, Habitat for Humanity, Souper Bowl Sunday, the Hudian Village School Project, and the ELCA World Hunger Appeal. In addition, a 487 pound shipment of quilts, health kits, school kits, sewing kits, and bars of soap was sent to Lutheran World Relief. Preemie caps were delivered to the Leesburg Regional Medical Center, and paper goods were delivered to Mother's Love Day Care. Members also participated in the annual Crop Walk and in a Habitat for Humanity build in Lady Lake.
Please check our Calendar to find worship service times and to learn about other scheduled events and activities. |
