Eagle's Wings
The purpose of Eagle's Wings is to minister to Beaufort County residents. We focus on:

>>Immediate hunger needs;

>>Emergency utilities and prescription drugs expenses; and,

>>Referrals to other agencies.

Our hope is to alleviate the immediate hunger needs of the impoverished and homeless in Beaufort County, which is a tier one county in North Carolina, and has a poverty rate of 19.5%. The City of Washington has the second highest poverty rate in the state, of almost 30%.

Weekly Yoga (temporarily suspended)
On Wednesday evenings at 5:30, parishioners and friends enjoy instruction from our own John Inzerillo, MD, who has been practicing yoga now for over 12 years. The author of the recently published Passion Beyond Pain: A Mindful Approach to Living a Life of Balance, Dr. Inzerillo leads us through contemplative stretching exercises called “asanas” that relax mind and body, promote circulation and overall health. This has been a wonderful opportunity to slow down and honor the temple of the Spirit, which is the body. Dr. Inzerillo serves as a hematologist/oncologist on the staff of Beaufort County Medical Center here in Washington.
