*Greetings in the name of Jesus, our crucified and risen Savior and Lord!*	GRACE FAITH *SCRIPTURE*
The people of Shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran Church gather together for worship and study and service because we share a common faith in the grace of God as He reveals that in His Word. In fact, those three alone - grace alone, faith alone, and Scripture alone - have been the hallmarks of the Lutheran Church (and of our Missouri Synod) since its beginning at the time of the Protestant Reformation. GRACE alone - that although we can't earn it, and don't deserve it, still God loves us, and sent His only Son to save us. FAITH alone - that all who believe God offers them forgiveness and life in His Son actually receive those gifts from Him. SCRIPTURE alone - that the Bible alone is God's Word, and the only basis for our faith. While it is hardly alone, this single verse form God's Word surely sums up those three standards that summarize our Christian faith: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9)
