Welcome to ELCA Singles (& friends) |
ELCA Singles (ELCAS) is a unique ministry bringing together single adults,
thirties to fifties, from neighboring ELCA congregations for fun,
fellowship, networking, mingling, etc. We hope that providing opportunities
for social support and connection with other single adults will lead
to a more fulfilling experience within the ELCA community.In order to create a comfortable and welcoming environment, we gather
together for events such as wine tastings, dancing, neighborhood festivals,
house parties, picnics, Ravinia, dinner, coffee, plays, concerts, walks,
travel, and potlucks, especially during the holidays for singles who are alone.
You name it, we’re open to it! In order to encourage the participation of single members from churches
throughout the neighboring area, our events are held in various locations,
such as restaurants, parks, museums, churches and members’ homes.
Initially, we focused on the northwest side of Chicago and northwest suburbs.
