Mission Statement:  The mission of the LWML Ohio District is to assist each woman in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world.

Who We Are

The Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML), also known as Lutheran Women in Mission, is the official women's auxiliary of The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod.

• This organization has as its "mission heart" thousands of volunteers who daily dedicate their lives to making a difference in this world.

• It is made up of women who are finding avenues to use their God-given talents as they meet the challenge to share the Gospel message.

• It seeks to develop and maintain a greater mission consciousness among the women of the Synod through education, inspiration and service.

• It emphasizes the support of mission and ministry throughout the world by means of mite box offerings.

It's coming - LWML Ohio District Convention - June 25-27, 2010

The Toledo Zone has issued the invitation for the 2010 LWML Ohio District Convention to be held on June 25-27, 2010. The Theme of the convention is PROCLAIM HIS NAME. It will be held at the Holiday Inn French Quarter. Mark you calendars now for this great event and watch for further information in the months ahead. Keep the Toledo Zone in your prayers as they make plans.

The LWML Ohio District is planning a workshop called "A Time to Lead" to be held on September 18-19, 2009, at the Marriott Columbus Northwest, 5605 Blazer Parkway, Dublin, Ohio 43017.  We are cordially inviting every LWML woman to attend our leadership workshop.

The purpose of this workshop is to energize our women to serve the Lord and empower them to make a difference in our organization's mission to share the love of Jesus at every opportunity the Lord gives us.

A good "formula" for prayer is ACTS.  Adoration Confession Thanksgiving Supplication. May you be blessed as you go to your best Friend in prayer.  What a Friend we have in Jesus!

A Search Engine that earns money for the LWML!!!!

Instead of ''Googling'' the next time you use a search engine, go to http://www.goodsearch.com and type ''LWML'' and select LWML St. Louis in the ''I'm supporting'' box. Each time a search is initiated, an estimated 1 cent is given to LWML. This sounds like a small amount, but multiple searches by many people add up. For example, if 1,000 women searched twice a day, LWML could potentially receive $7,300 a year.
