Holy Communion is celebrated every first, third, and fifth Sunday and all festivals. During the summer, Holy Communion is also celebrated on the Mondays following the first, third, and fifth Sundays. You do not have to be a member of LCLC or any other Lutheran congregation in order to receive communion at Lutheran Church of the Living Christ. This is the Lord's Table, and all are invited to come and share in the Eucharist. Martin Luther wrote, “a person who has faith in these words, ‘given for you’ and ‘shed for you for the forgiveness of sin,’ is really worthy and well prepared [to receive the sacrament of Holy Communion].” Children, youth, or adults who have not yet received Communion may come forward for a blessing.
