Join us for the Lenten Café – The Passion of Our Lord
The center of our faith is the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, which is commonly referred to as our Lord’s “Passion”. The New Testament contains four different accounts of that passion, and each one has unique perspectives on the events of Jesus’ last days and the significance of those events for those who believe in him. This Lent, we invite you to join us on Wednesday evenings as we explore the various gospel accounts and learn about the rich diversity of thought found in Scripture. Join us on Wednesday evenings (February 29th – March 28th) from 5:30 to 6:30pm for a light supper and discussion! We will meet in Luther Hall, grab dinner, and turn our attention to the gospel accounts of Jesus’ passion. This schedule allows us to maintain our regular times for confirmation (6:30pm) and choir (7:30pm). People of all ages are welcome, and questions are encouraged. Join us as we explore what we Christians believe to be the most significant series of events in human history and deepen our knowledge of our Lord’s suffering and death for the sake of the whole world!
