The first time you see Hope Lutheran Church you might think it seems a little lost and lonely, a small church tucked just inside the edge of the Sherburne national wildlife refuge and a long way from where most people live and work. But sometimes we all feel a little lost and lonely, and we may feel the need for a quiet place where we can feel safe, at home, and wanted. Perhaps Hope can be a place of refuge and renewal for you.
In addition to our regularly scheduled worship, we offer educational opportunities for people of all ages. We have moved our Snday School to Wednesday evenings for now (which makes it easier for some families to participate) but we could go back to Sunday mornings if that is best for most people - one of the advantages of our small size is that we can be flexible and adaptable. We have an active women's group, which meets for monthly Bible studies (this is in addition to Bible studies led by the pastor on Sunday mornings) and a quilting group that turns out hundreds of quilts a year. Our choir is always ready to welcome new members
We share of our abundance with a variety of charitable organizations in our area, and (through our connection with the SW Minnesota synod of the E.L.C.A.) throughout the world. We may be fairly small, but we are very much alive and eager to celebrate and share the blessings that God has given us.
