Cajun Zydeco Food and Dance

Our new pastor is from the Gulf Coast. She grew up in a family of shrimpers and oystermen. She learned to cook from her mom and grandmother who knew how to fix good stuff for a large family. Morgan became a renown bayou cook and is willing to teach anyone interested. She will make Gumbo, Creole, Jambalaya, and Red beans and rice with sausage -… mouth watering Bayou - Cajun cuisine. There just may be some of her famous bread pudding with bourbon sauce - can't ever tell. Come taste, sample, stuff yourself this Saturday noon 'til 5pm see how it's done. We will be making some fun music mixing our bluegrass pickers with some Cajun pickers. We have also imported some zydeco dancers from Huntsville Alabama to teach everything from two stepping, waltz, line dancing and zydeco and don't be surprised to see some clogging or even a jazz brass band.

We are living in a exciting time here. For example, Morgan's husband has just been elected bishop of Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi ELCA Lutherans. Morgan has just been ordained as a Lutheran pastor and called to pastor Faith Lutheran Church. She is one busy woman.
