Holy Communion is Celebrated during the Divine Worship Service on the first, third, and fifth Sunday of every month.
EPIPHANY
Epiphany is defined as a” revelatory manifestation of a divine being”, as Christians we are privileged to know this divine being to be Jesus Christ.

LEARNING ABOUT THE SEASON OF EPIPHANY

The Sundays of Epiphany show us the beginning of Christ’s ministry on Earth in preparation for his final Work in Jerusalem about three years later.

LEARNING ABOUT EPIPHANY (Fifth & Sixth Sundays)

Jesus proves His Power over Creation by:
Healing of the sick
Casting out Demons

Christ's Body and Blood
Freely given for the
forgiveness of our sins.
THE FIFTH SUNDAY AFTER THE EPIPHANY

Christ Jesus, the Son of God, Makes Us a New Creation

Jesus demonstrated his power over creation when He healed the sick, and cast out demons (read Mark1:34-39). We are set free (from death and hell) by the Word of Christ. Jesus, the Word by whom all things were made. He became flesh, lived a perfect life and died a perfect death for us. He took the world’s sins and our eternal death to the Cross, where he made full atonement for all sin. Jesus rose from the dead and as He rose, He also raised each of us up, a new creation.

THE SIXTH SUNDAY AFTER THE EPIPHANY

Through the Word of Jesus We are Made New

Through Jesus we are cleansed of our sins and set free from the burden of the Law. As Christ healed the leper (Mark 1:40-42). by touching him and saying “…be thou clean.” Jesus also cleanses us from all our sins. Christ, the son of God, willingly gave His body as a sacrifice, shedding His blood for the forgiveness of our sins. As Jesus touches us by His Word and the Sacrament (Holy Communion) we are indeed New Creatures, set free to share His message of “Sins Forgiven”.

FINAL SUNDAY OF EPIPHANY & LENT BEGINS

God the Father said:
“This is my beloved son…hear him.”

".....Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved..." Act 16:31
THE TRANSFIGURATION OF OUR LORD (final Sunday of Epiphany)
The Transfiguration of Our Lord

At the Transfiguration of Our Lord, the disciples Peter, James and John witnessed Christ manifesting the Light of the Glory God as He stood with Moses and Elijah. Here on the Mount of Transfiguration (as the three disciples cowered in fear) the Father once more declared “This is my beloved son…hear him.” We are blessed to be able to hear Our Savior’s Word whenever we hear or read His Word…The Bible.

THE FIRST SUNDAY IN LENT

As Lutherans we confess our belief in the Triune God the Father, God the Son, and Holy Spirit. During the season of Lent we will look at the Holy Work of God the Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ. Through the Work of God the Son, sinners have been granted forgiveness of sins and life everlasting. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
