CHRISTIAN MINISTRY

No Perfect People Allowed
The Apostles Creed
A prayer of Faith in the teaching of Jesus and His Church.

I believe in God,
the Father Almighty,
Creator of Heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day, He rose again.
He ascended to Heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting. Amen.

Message from Bishop to St Pauls

The Rev. Dr. Samuel R. Zeiser, bishop
Congratulations, St. Paul’s. I am delighted to learn of your growing witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Blessings upon you as you break ground and demonstrate your determination to share the Spirit in Craigs Meadow.

Yours in Christ,

Bishop Zeiser

Dear Member and Family of St. Paul's Lutheran church of Smithfield
Hello , May 6 will be a busy day for us. Bishop and Mrs. Zeiser are coming to help dedicate Celebration Hall at the 10:15A.M. service followed by a luncheon. you will be able to tour the Celebration Hall meet and greet the Bishop and take part in the festivities. That will be a real good visual presentation of who we are--a community that thanks God in worship, eats together, and practices love of neighbor in actions of charity and mercy. Should be a stunning day.

St. Paul’s Preschool News -

Our weekly chapel service donations through the month of April will be going to The Pocono Alliance. Pocono Alliance collaborates in identifying unmet needs of the community. Additionally, it pursues funding sources for new programs. There are currently four committees: Children's Early Care and Education, Health, Housing, and Transportation. On Wednesday, May 16th the children will be participating in our 5th annual Trike-A-Thon to benefit St. Jude’s Research Hospital. The children will learn bike safety rules and then ride their bikes on our parking lot “race track”. Over the years, St. Paul’s Preschool has raised over $3,000.00 for this wonderful cause. If you would like to donate or just come and cheer us on, please see Laura Pride. We are now accepting registrations for the 2012/2013 school year. St. Paul’s Preschool offers programs for 3, 4, and 5 year old children. Please call 223-7700 or speak to one of our board members: Jaime Frailey, Laura Pride, Dana Strohl, Pat Clements, or Adam McGlynn.
