Geography: El Salvador is the smallest, yet most densely populated, of the Central American countries, which makes land access very difficult. More than 20 volcanoes dot the countryside. Ever since the civil war ended in 1992, El Salvador has been working to rebuild and redefine itself, looking with hope towards the future.
